Medical presentations in the ED

March 2018 | by EMauthor

Realistically, the lionshare of work in the ED involves medical presentations, primarily in older patients. This handbook was written primarily to help with non-medical presentations where shop-floor knowledge is laking in juniors, so this chapter was the last to be written and I am still expanding it. The approach of the chapter focuses mainly on admission / discharge criteria and common pitfalls, rather than regurgitating an internal medicine textbook.
