Always examine the shoulder and sternoclavicular joints

The degree of displacement varies depending on the force applied to shoulder

It is often a greenstick fracture in children, however healing is excellent in almost all fractures

Always assess the neurovascular status of the upper limb

Injuries to the subclavian vessels and the cords of the brachial plexus is a possibility

Broad arm sling is the treatment

Fracture clinic follow up
