Child unable to use arm

•Same as limping child, examine the child generally including the temperature

•Examine the whole arm including the clavicle

•Many cases turn to be either pulled elbow in young children or a fracture

•Have a low threshold in ordering x-rays

•If child is well and x-ray did not show a fracture, arrange review in 3 days
