Neck of humerus •Undisplaced or displaced in elderly are treated with broad arm sling, fracture clinic follow up •Displaced (>1cm)/angulated (>45o) may require ORIF, refer to orthopaedics Shaft •Check radial pulse and radial nerve function •Fractures with minimum displacement/angulation : U shaped slab and fracture clinic •Fracture with severe angulation/displacement will require manipulation, refer to orthopaedics •If in doubt about degree of angulation/displacement then discuss with orthopaedics |
