Tennis elbow and Golfer's elbow March 2018 | by EMauthor Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) •Pain at the origin of common extensor tendon at the elbow •The cause is repitative stress to the origin of the tendon as in gripping and or twisting •The patient complains of pain at the lateral side of the elbow which may radiates along forearm, pain is often reproduced by gripping or twisting movement •There is tenderness over lateral epicondyle of the humerus •Treatment consist of avoiding these movement and NSAID Golfer’s elbow (medial epicondylitis) •Less frequent •Pain is on the medial side (common flexor tendons) •Treatment is the same |
